Growing up on a farm, our home was surrounded by fields, naturally. For the most part, those fields were flat and lacked any sort of character – that is, all but one of them. Just outside my bedroom window was a unique rolling field that gave me the best view in the house, in my opinion. It’s the field I looked out at while daydreaming of my future and where life might take me.
The road along that field leads to my dad’s shop – not only the place where the farm equipment and many tools were maintained and stored, but also where a dream was kept alive through hours upon hours of blood, sweat and, I’m sure, a few tears. I remember playing there as a child and wishing to have my own shop some day. Not one filled with tractors and such, but a place of my own – to create and build my own dream.
And this little shop of mine is that dream. Like that rolling field outside my childhood bedroom window, my shop’s design style has a natural, subtle, simple beauty about it. Never bold or loud, overwhelming or busy. It fits into your life seamlessly and effortlessly, as if it was always a part of you and your story.
Of all the things our Creator has made – that rolling field could not possibly describe my design shop any more perfectly.
